    Verse of the Day

    America, I Applaud You!

    flag

I would like to honor all of those in this country who have fought and died for our freedom, both here in this country and around the world. They gave of themselves and some paid the ultimate penalty so that we may live. This country was founded on Christianity and Christian values, and God has used us and protected us and I believe that God is not done with this country.

Unlike our current President, I will not apologize for my country or tell the world about the arrogance of America. I believe that is a slap in the face to all of those who bled and died for this country. What indeed has the United States done for the world? How many of our soldiers went to Europe and the rest of the world to defend their freedom as well as ours during World War I & II? Then there was Vietnam, the Korean “conflict” and many more… The war in the Gulf and Afghanistan, and Iran, as well as on our own shores.

We have given more money and food and goods to all other nations, and what did we get in return? Hatred and rioting and kidnapping and hostages taken, and the atrocities of 9-11. Every disaster found the US there, helping others through every means possible. Will we forget the firemen that died to save the thousands at the World Trade Center?

No, I will not apologize for my country, but I will apologize to the world for the man that now stands in the office of President. I will applaud this country and the men and women who have served in the military. I love hearing about how during the Revolutionary War, our President George Washington led the army to victory, and though people would shoot him, the bullets would not harm him. He was known as the man that could not be killed. I think about the mighty men and women that gave their all. I cry every time that I think about the miracles that happened at D-Day. I love hearing about how those ships came across the English Channel, and against all odds, and at the we won against Hitler and the Axis Powers. Yes, I applaud you!

“In addition to the distinguished character of a Patriot, it should be our highest glory to add the more distinguished character of a Christian.” – George Washington May 2, 1778 at Valley Forge, PA

“Can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have removed their only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of the people that these liberties are the gift of God? That they are not to be violated but with His wrath? I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just; that His justice cannot sleep forever.” – Thomas Jefferson
