I started writing this post several years ago, but then it was too close to my heart. I will start out with a little bit of history, and then get into the main subject of this post.
Population Control
There has been a move in America and around the world for population control, of which the proponents feel justified for many reasons. Before WWII, in 1916, Margaret Sanders started the first birth control clinic in the United States, and her methods and theories for population control also included sterilizing the infirm, the mentally handicapped, retarded, and anyone else that she felt was “feeble minded”.
Margaret Sanger spoke of sterilizing those she designated as “unfit,” a plan she said would be the “salvation of American civilization. And she also spoke of those who were “irresponsible and reckless,” among whom she included those “whose religious scruples prevent their exercising control over their numbers.” She further contended that “there is no doubt in the minds of all thinking people that the procreation of this group should be stopped.” That many Americans of African origin constituted a segment of Sanger considered “unfit” cannot be easily refuted.
Many of her followers and proponents were socialists or from the Nazi party. Her philosophy was adopted in Germany, and Hitler took it to the extreme, through what we call the Holocaust. Jews, Gypsies, Poles and other Slavs, and people with physical or mental disabilities, about 11 million people were exterminated. If you were an elderly person, or anyone else that the Nazi party did not think could contribute to society, you were subject to the “final solution” in the death camps. We looked on in horror as the details of the death camps were revealed to the world.
Modern Day Move for Population Control
Today, birth control is handed out like candy in the schools and clinics, and the right of women to “choose” to have an abortion is the law of the land. We shed more tears for a dead and abused dog than we do for an aborted baby. This is not the subject of this article, but just an observation.
One of the things that has become extremely clear in the last few years is the opinion of the medical community and our society in general towards the aging population in the United States. The medical community has terms like “quality of life”, and if the patient that they do are treating does not have a good outlook, they try to convince the family that these people should be allowed to die. They say that it is better for them, and better for the family, on a cost basis. They use emotional blackmail, asking the family if their loved one would like to be kept alive by machines. Of course, no one would want that, but if there is a chance that the medical profession could bring them out of that state, then years ago, measures would have been taken. This also leaves no room for prayer, or a move of God for healing.
Example #1
Case in point: My Father, James Moore. In 2008, he was on his way into work, and started driving erratically. He pulled over to the side of the road, and another driver called for help. When the ambulance came, he walked over to it and got in. The family was called, but before we arrived, they gave him a shot of something to put him in a medically induced coma. He never recovered from that. He was moved down to HCMC within a few hours, and the doctors there told us that he had had a massive stroke. We were praying for him, but the next day my Mother was hospitalized with stroke symptoms as well. Hers was minor, and his was major. But we were split up in trying to help and pray for them on two different floors of the same hospital.
It was interesting, but when I would pray for my Dad, his blood pressure and other vital signs would level out to normal. When my sister Janelle came into the hospital (who lives in Nevada), my brothers told my Dad that she was there, and then his hand moved. He was responding to prayer, and to external stimulus.
The doctors wanted to meet with the whole family, and convince us that there was no hope, and it would be better to turn off the breathing tube and let him go. We refused to let that happen, and they agreed to not turn off the breathing apparatus. They said that he would never be able to breathe on his own, because they said that he was brain dead. They also would not do the tests to prove that he was actually brain dead, and we requested that several times.
The third night that he was in the hospital, the doctor did turn off the breathing tube, and my Dad did start breathing on his own. It was only a couple of breaths, but they said that maybe he was not actually completely brain dead. I was surprised that they had done that after they said that they would not. They had told us the day before that they would not turn off the breathing machine. But we were happy to hear that there was something there.
We continued to pray for my Dad, and it was still the same… I would pray for him, and his vital signs would be strong.
That Sunday when we went into the hospital to visit again, the doctor met us when we were coming in. He told us that he was taking things out of our hands, and that he was going to declare that my Dad was brain dead. According to Minnesota law, if a physician declares that you are brain dead, then they have the right to kill you. They have the right to disconnect anything that would support life. We asked to see documentation that said that this was true, and several hours later, they gave us some things that looked official.
Remember, this was on a Sunday when we could not get any legal help or consult with an attorney. We asked if we could wait until the next day, because all of the family was not there. They said that it HAD to be done that day, and that we had no choice. They were very adamant.
When they time came, they disconnected everything, and my Dad still lived for an additional ten minutes before he passed away into Heaven.
Example #2
My Mother is the next example. She had come to live with me for about 2 years. Her name was Bonnie Kaye Moore, and she had heart problems and many mini strokes, along with one major one about 10 years before she came to live with me, so she was handicapped and had a lot of physical challenges, along with the death of her lifelong partner and husband in 2008. In 2010 I came home to find her in the middle of a major stroke. I called 911, and they took her to the hospital. She was paralyzed on her left side, and could not talk.
For her, they gave me the option to withhold food or liquids and let her die. I said no. I could not stand the thought of my mother being starved to death in a hospital. They said that they would start the feeding tube on Monday, but didn’t wait.
I was up at her property taking care of some things that week end, and didn’t get home until Sunday afternoon. Monday morning about 9:00 the doctor called me and informed me that she had passed away.
I was not even allowed to be at her side when she passed away. They called me in the morning (Sunday again) and told me that she had passed away in the night. I had given them orders to call me if there was any change. But they did not, and she died in the hospital without her family and only a nurse in attendance.
They put in a feeding tube the day before, which they told me that they would not start until Monday. She was deathly afraid of anything down her throat, like a breathing tube. Why was it necessary to do this procedure when I was not there? Both her breathing and her heart stopped. And she was gone…
Example #3
One lady that I know heard about what had happened with my father, and she shared what they did with her father. He had been hospitalized with a stroke, and though he could not talk, when they asked him questions, he would write out his answers. In my opinion, if you can write out your answers, that shows that you have quite a bit of brain activity. They declared him brain dead and disconnected his life support.
Why?
I have given you three examples of how the medical community is over riding the wishes of the family, and killing those that they feel are not a value to society, or that the “quality of life” would not be what they think that it should be. I want to know who they think that they are to judge that? Are they God? I don’t think so. My Dad was in the hospital for under a week when they took things out of our hands. My Mom was under a week, and I am not sure what happened to precipitate her death.
I believe that there is a philosophy among the doctors to eliminate the aging and the infirm, just as there was in Nazi Germany. Remember, we are all aging… When I went into the doctor for a recent physical, they wanted me to sign a health care directive. I would not sign that. I have seen what they do with little or no provocation.
“First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out –
Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out –
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out –
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me — and there was no one left to speak for me.”
Martin Niemöller
I would add to the above quote: Then they came for the aging and infirm, and I did not speak out -
This is a time when those people who have a voice need to speak out loudly, and create laws to protect the aging, the infirm and the handicapped. This is the time when we need to protect our families, and step up to the plate, and to change the laws in this country. I am not sure how to do this, because I am not a lawyer or a politician. I am just one lone woman that has been hurt by this system, and I know that I am not alone.
If you have a similar story to share, please post it in the comments here. I want the whole world to know what is going on.
