The Waterfall

I am going to tell you a story about something that God showed me long ago. This happened back in 1992, and it changed my life, and I hope that you will be blessed by it.
There is a waterfall in my town. It might be just a little one by some standards, but it is very beautiful. It is right along the main street in Osceola, Wisconsin... which is one of many small towns in our country. You have the usual traffic on the streets, people coming and going and shopping, and doing the ordinary business of life. As you walk along the street, however, you come to a carved wooden sign that says "Cascade Falls." There is a winding stairway that goes down, down, and even farther down into a tree lined world that is almost a place that you see in your dreams. You hear the rush and roar of water, and hear little insects humming around your ears, and it becomes a different world. Then you see it... living up to it's name, the water "cascading" over boulders and debris over the cliff to the boiling stream below.
I used to go there to pray, and would bring my little New Testament along, and read, and sit in the presence of Almighty God. Everyone should have a place like that. A place to go and get alone with God. A private, secret place.
One day, as I was praying at my waterfall, I looked at the big rocks that had fallen at the bottom of the stream, how they were being shaped and molded by the water, and it reminded me of a sermon that I had heard a while before about how David, in the Bible, when he came against Goliath, went down to the stream and got five smooth stones. He needed smooth stones, because stones with rough edges could not fly straight and true. I started praying then, that God would make me like one of those stones, to mold me and shape me so that I could be of service to Him. I wanted to much to be a smooth stone.
I was extremely shocked to hear God speak up in my spirit, and tell me, "Oh... you are always looking at those rocks. Why don't you try looking at the water for a while?"
I was a little perturbed, too. I thought that my prayer was a pretty good one. What was He talking about, to look at the water? Well, I thought that since He told me to look at the water, maybe I should. So I walked over to the edge of the stream, right up next to the falls. Then I looked down into the water. I saw the green slimy stuff hanging off of the rocks, and trailing in the water. "That's kind of disgusting," I thought to myself. As quick as that thought came, God spoke sharply again, and He said, "That's life, there that you see. Do not despise that which I have created."
Then I looked up and down the valley. Everywhere there was life. I looked up upon the craggy stones on the cliff, and I saw an odd thing. Even where you would think that there was no possibility for life, where there was no soil, there was still life. There were tiny little flowers and trees and grasses coming out of even the bare rocks, coming out of every crack and crevice. How was life sustained? By the mist that came up from the waterfall. Even the mist sustained life.
I started to pray, and what came out of me was a deep cry for revival. I prayed and cried and felt like my insides were coming out. Then God spoke again, and said, "It has already begun."
Suddenly I could see so many things about this revival, the things that I had been praying for, and the things that will be. In this revival, we will have the harvest of souls that we have been looking for so long. Multitudes will come to a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ and His Grace and mercy, many will be delivered and set free from everything that the devil has done to them throughout their lives. I could see people walking around, with great wounds that God was going to restore for His glory. I saw the young ones, the children that had walked away that were coming back. I could see families and relationships restored, in this awesome move of God. And then I started to shout and praise God with all that was in me. "It has already begun!"

Would you like to participate in sending people out on the missions field? If you would like to give financially, and be a blessing to thousands of people, I would like to give you the opportunity to help. I believe that when we give, it is given back to us, and God multiplies it so that it is more than we can contain.
